2016 Election Results
The Cook County Pension Fund (CCPF) held our annual Trustee election on October 26, 2016. This year the election was held for a Forest Preserve Annuitant Trustee position and the Cook County Annuitant and Employee Trustee positions. As decided by a majority of Cook County annuitants, CCPF congratulates Mr. John E. Fitzgerald who was declared the winner of this year’s election. As decided by a majority of Forest Preserve annuitants, CCPF congratulates Mr. Joseph N. Nevius who was declared the winner of this year’s election. As decided by the Cook County employees, CCPF congratulates Mr. Robert DeGraff who was declared the winner of this year’s election. Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2016 Trustee election.
Information for Candidates
Nominating petitions can be obtained at the main office, which is located at 33 N Dearborn St, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60602, beginning on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Nominating petitions must be filed at CCPF main office between 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 and 4:30 PM on September 9, 2016.
All Trustees must adhere to the fiduciary and governance standards prescribed by CCPF and in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Illinois Pension Code. The fiduciary duties, responsibilities, and expectations of Trustees are outlined in the Considering Candidacy Guide.
In an effort to offer information to our members, each candidate is given the opportunity to submit a candidate statement during an active election.
