All annuity and disability checks were mailed through the US Post Office on August 31, 2010. We understand there has been a delay in the mail delivery of some of the checks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are working with the post office to identify the problem. We expect checks to be delivered today, Friday September 3rd or over the weekend. Senate Bill 1946
On March 24th, the Illinois Legislature passed Senate Bill 1946. The Bill modifies benefits for most Illinois public pension systems, including Cook County and Forest Preserve plans. Cook County and Forest Preserve Employees hired and contributing before January 1, 2011 are not affected by this legislation. The bill was signed into law by the governor on April 14, 2010. Read More
