Health Benefit - At A Glance
The Fund currently offers a Group Health Benefit to eligible annuitants and their dependents. The following is an overview of the benefits offered.
Medical Benefits
Non-Medicare

Medicare
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Comprehensive Major Medical Supplement

Note: All Medicare plans are supplemental to your Medicare Part A & B benefits.
Prescription
A retail and mail pharmacy benefit through CVS/Caremark is included with the election of any medical plan.
Enrollment, Postponement or Suspension of Coverage
1. Enrollment
Eligible annuitants and their eligible dependents may enroll into the Group Health Benefit at time of retirement or at a later date if they qualify for an enrollment postponement.
The Fund's Health Benefit Team is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 to assist with the questions regarding the enrollment process, plan options and coverage information.
An application for enrollment into the health benefit is required by all members. No exception is made.
2. Postponement*
An eligible annuitant may choose to
postpone their enrollment into the group health benefit at time of retirement if they have other health benefit coverage.
3. Suspension*
Any member currently enrolled in the group health benefit may suspend their coverage if they obtain other valid health benefits.
*postponement and suspension from the group health benefit will require proof of other medical coverage.
