2014 Trustee Elections
Notice of Election
Notice is hereby given to all Cook County employees that an election for a Cook County Employee Trustee member of the Retirement Board will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
In-person voting will take place from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM on October 29, 2014, in Room 885 of the Cook County Building at 118 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60602.
Mail ballots will also be accepted. Each eligible employee will be mailed an application for a mail ballot on or before September 29, 2014. Contact the Independent Election Administrator at (708) 228-8209 no later than October 6, 2014, if you do not receive an application for a mail ballot.
Please note that only Cook County employees are eligible to vote in this year's election. If you are retired or are employed by the Forest Preserve District, there is no election for you this year.
Information for Candidates
Nominating petitions can be obtained at the Fund's main office at 33 N Dearborn St, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60602, beginning on August 21, 2014. Nominating petitions must be filed at the Fund's main office between 9:00 AM on September 2, 2014 and 4:30 PM on September 5, 2014.
All Trustees must adhere to the fiduciary and governance standards prescribed by the Fund and in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Illinois Pension Code.
