HB Open Enrollment

The Fund conducts an annual open enrollment to all eligible annuitants and their dependents. During this time period, you are entitled to make changes to your plan and dependent coverage.

All changes will become effective January 1 following the open enrollment period or such other date that the plan shall choose.

During the Open Enrollment period, enrollment can also be made into the Voluntary Dental Plan.
 

Timing

The Fund currently conducts open enrollment in November.  A brochure highlighting the specific dates of annual enrollment and plan changes (if any) is distributed to all eligible annuitants in October of each year.

The 2012 Open Enrollment period is November 1st through November 30th. 

Be advised that members currently enrolled in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Classic plan must make an active enrollment in order to stay in that plan.

Open Enrollment Meeting

The Fund conducts an annual meeting to discuss the benefits provided and any enhancements/changes that will take effect January of the following year. All eligible annuitants are invited to attend. Notifications are distributed prior to the meeting. 

The 2012 meeting was held Friday November 2, 2012 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at IUOE Local 399. The address is 2260 South Grove Street, Chicago, IL 60616.
