Holiday Schedule – Office Closed

The Pension Fund wishes everyone a Happy Holiday Season. Our office will be closed on Christmas Eve (12/24/2015) and on Christmas Day (12/25/2015). The Pension Fund offices will have reduced hours on New Year’s Eve (12/31/2015) and will be closed on New Year’s Day (1/1/2016).

All January 1st checks and advices will be mailed the week of December 28, 2015. Direct deposits are payable on January 1, since the first is a holiday, funds should post to your bank account no later than the first business day of the month. Please contact your financial institution regarding the availability of your funds.

Investment Consultant Search Update

The Board of Trustees for the County Employees’ and Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Cook County (CEABF) approved the recommendation from the Investment Committee to retain Callan Associates as the Fund’s General Investment Consultant for two years (and three one-year extensions) starting on January 1, 2016. The Fund Investment Staff and Executive Director will continue to take all actions reasonably necessary to effect the foregoing, including the execution and delivery of related written agreements on behalf of the Fund.

2015 Trustee Election Results

The Cook County Pension Fund held our annual Trustee election on October 28, 2015. This year the election was held for a Forest Preserve Employee Trustee Position and the Cook County Annuitant Trustee Position. As decided by a majority of Cook County annuitants, the Fund congratulates Mr. Patrick J. McFadden who was declared the winner of this year’s election. As decided by a majority of Forest Preserve employees, the Fund congratulates to Mr. Dennis White who was declared the winner of this year’s election. Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2015 Trustee election.
